  • Alcohol Concern - www.alcoholconcern.org.uk
    At the top of the homepage click on ‘Help and Information’. On the left there are some very useful menus including ‘Worried about drinking’, ‘Factsheets on alcohol’ (eg. alcohol and…older people, mental health, crime) and the ‘Alcohol Services Directory’.

  • Online Drink Assessment - www.downyourdrink.org.uk
    You can also assess your own drinking using the online questionnaire called ‘Down your Drink’. You could recommend this to someone who may be worried about their drinking but wants to find out more in private! The online questionnaire is provided by Alcohol Concern with sponsorship from the Alcohol Education Research Council and the NHS.

    National charity that focusses on solvent and gas use. It provides lots of useful information with links to research and training and information for young people, parents and professionals. There is a specific training pack for Social Services working with vulnerable young people
